At Eugene Yacht Club, you don't have to be a sailor or even have a yacht to enjoy being on the water.
Fern Ridge is home to power boats and is a great place for paddle boarding, rowing, kayaking, or canoeing. EYC has a a small fleet of DaySailers, a few Lasers, and a couple of kayaks and stand up paddleboards, all of which are available for members to use. Members must be checked out and pay a small usage fees before taking out the larger boats.

Powerboat Orientation & Training • 9:00 am, 11:00 am, and 1:00 pm
Each year EYC offers an opportunity to get trained on how to use EYC's fleet of power boats. This training is encouraged for Thursday night racers, Sail School volunteers, those who would like to be part of EYC's fantastic regatta and rescue crew, and anyone who wants to be part ready in an emergency. Four sessions are offered throughout the day.
An Oregon Boaters Card is required to drive an EYC powerboat. You can get yours by taking the online course. Visit the Oregon State Marine Board for course options.
